Majestic beings who are truthful in their every encounter, horses are the ultimate embodiments of truth and beauty.
Able to sense energy- and even hear our hearts beat- horses sense our emotions, intentions, and the wounds we carry within, whether we ourselves are aware of them or not.
They see us as we are. And reflecting that back to us through their own behaviour, their request is simple. They invite us to step into connection with our deepest selves, and in so doing heal, open and expand our hearts.
Hi, I’m Robin,
and the horses have taught me to relax.
I am a chestnut mare, to be sure. That’s a fiery redhead, in horse talk. And I have been given the great spiritual gift (read: challenge) of raising my children, star-child Reine, 15, and sensitive soul Henry, 13, on my own. So I am no stranger to stress, fear, anxiety or frustration. I know what it’s like to feel knocked out of balance and overwhelmed.
But every time I step into the stall or paddock with the horses, I am reminded to Relax. To slow down. Just be here with me. Soften. Breathe. Allow. (And oh my god the feel, smell, sound of horse’s breath lights up my soul!) I am reminded to Trust in the loving support of the Universe, and I do.
This is Horse medicine. And it is my sacred honour, plus the happiest place I can be, besides cuddled up with my children on the couch… or maybe sipping an incredible California cab at the end of a long day… to share this horse wisdom with you.
